How to play Squad Quiz
A free pass-and-play quiz game for 2 to 5 squads (teams) sharing one screen. A round takes about 15–30 minutes and needs nothing but a browser.

Open the game
Open Squad Quiz on a screen everyone can see, like a TV, laptop or tablet, and tap Start playing.

Pick your squads
Choose 2 to 5 squads (teams). Give each a name and a portrait, or tap shuffle for a random squad name.

Pick a quiz category, or choose Upload JSON to play your own questions, then tap Start the round.

The active squad picks any numbered tile on the board to reveal a multiple-choice question.

Before you start
What you need
One shared screen
A TV, laptop, tablet or phone that everyone can see.
Two or more players
Any number of people can join a squad: four players or forty.
Nothing else
No accounts, app downloads or extra phones.
Taking turns
Everyone gets a fair shot
Squads play in order, and the starting squad rotates every round. On its turn, the active squad picks any available numbered tile. A used tile is gone for the rest of the round.
Every round is even: the number of questions is always a multiple of the number of squads, so every squad gets exactly the same number of turns.
Scoring
Faster answers, bigger points
Each tile reveals a multiple-choice question with 2 to 4 options. The first tap locks in the answer, and a timer (20 seconds by default) burns down while the squad decides.
- Correct answers score 100 to 1,000 points by default. The faster you answer, the more you score.
- Wrong answers score nothing by default. You can set a penalty in Settings, but a squad's total never drops below zero.
- Running out of time scores zero.
After each question the correct answer and an explanation stay on screen until someone presses Continue, so there's time to argue about it.
Winning
Climb the podium
When the board is cleared, the podium shows first, second and third place. Squads that tie share a rank.
Play again takes you back to setup with the same squads ready to go.
